No Fans in the Stands

1 May

As the protests in Baltimore grow more violent, this past Wednesday, April 29, the Baltimore Oriels made history with their fan count.

The Baltimore Oriels had a close game against the Chigago White Soxs in fear of protests disturbing the outcome of the game. The only people in the stands were a few major league scouts behind home plate. This is the first time in Major League history that fans have been shut out of a game.

With no fans, the players did not stray from routine. As one catcher signed imaginary autographs and waved to imaginary fans to the first baseman throwing the inning ending ball into the stands. The players took this strange atmosphere with a light heart.
