Parents of Michigan boy charged with torture

The parents of a 12-year-old Michigan boy could be sentenced to life in prison if they are found guilty for torture and second-degree child abuse.

Charles Bothuell IV, 46 and Monique Dillard-Bothuell, 37 reported their child missing on June 14 which caused a widespread man hunt for their child.

Police came up empty until a Michigan State Police sergeant found the child alive but very thin and hungry hidden behind boxes in the basement of the Bothuell house.

The the two are expected to appear in court on Friday, February 20.
